Andréanne Michon lives and works in Toronto and Bolton-Ouest, Canada. She received a BFA, with distinction, from Concordia University (Montreal, Quebec) in 2010 and she completed an MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2013. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in North America and Europe and her work has been selected in international juried shows by important curators at major museums (LACMA, SFMoMA, FAMSF, J. Paul Getty and the Guggenheim). Michon’s practice includes photography, printmaking, sculpture, installation, video & sound, which she often explores in artist residencies; notably at L’imprimerie centre d’artistes in Montreal, at the Vermont Studio Center and at SÍM Reykjavík in Iceland. In 2019, Michon exhibited in California, at Bass & Reiner Gallery and SF Camerawork. In Toronto, she had a solo exhibition, Time Sensitive, with Circuit Gallery at Prefix Institute of Contemporary Art (2020). She was commissioned to create a multimedia installation at The Image Centre of Toronto Metropolitan University (Formerly the Ryerson Image Center - RIC), which was presented in 2022 as Core Exhibition of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival (26th Edition).
